Doordash

I was a Doordash driver from the beginning of 2020 to the end of 2021, and it was a fantastic side hustle! This side hustle is particularly great if you are free on weekends and live in a populated area. If you don’t have these qualifications, becoming a Doordash driver may not be worth it, so another side hustle may be better.

As a Doordash driver, you can make $1-3+ per delivery and keep any tips! If someone tips you $4, you can earn $5-$7 for one delivery. Tips are why Doordashing is excellent for people who live in populated areas and not so great if you don’t.

Doordash also allows you to “cash out” every week, or you can pay a small fee and cash out daily. As a Doordash driver, I made between $100-$400/week. It allowed me to work around schedules and have some extra cash when I needed it! Becoming a Doordash driver was a great side hustle that paid weekly.

Poshmark

I love and use Poshmark every day! It allows me to extend the life of items I otherwise wouldn’t have and make a bit of cash in the process. I sell clothes that are in excellent condition but don’t fit me or out of my current style. I have also been able to meet some amazing people within the community!

However, Poshmark isn’t a resource where you can post your listings and leave. You have to engage and share your items for them to sell fast. There are also fees, but joining Poshmark is still something to consider. Once it sells and your items have been delivered and accepted by your buyer, you can cash out immediately!

I love Poshmark and have grown my following to 115k followers by sharing my closet and being a reliable seller. I can schedule package pick-ups for free with USPS, so there is no real dent in my schedule!

Dropshipping

Dropshipping is when you own an eCommerce shop and source the items from a wholesaler like AliExpress or Ali Baba. Link the products to your website, and the items will be packed and shipped from the wholesaler.

Dropshipping has become popular and attractive to entrepreneurs because of the low start-up costs. There’s no need to pay for inventory. Only pay for the product when someone buys it. You also can save time and space from packing and shipping the items.

However, be aware of this side hustle’s effects on the environment. The fast production leads to poor wages for workers and waste for the environment. Because the items are shipped internationally, the average shipping time is about 20-45 days, which can be challenging for many customers. If you want to succeed, ensure your customer service is top-tier. It can also be hard to ensure that every item is of excellent quality since you can’t quality-check yourself.

But dropshipping is a side hustle that pays weekly, sometimes even daily. It can be very successful if done correctly, so it is worth including in this list.

Car Detailing

Car detailing is another side hustle that pays weekly or even daily, depending on the client load. Drive to people’s houses (or have them drive to your workspace) and detail the inside and outside of their car. You can listen to podcasts or music while doing this and while limiting contact with people, which is great if you are an introvert.

Be sure not to judge others’ car situations. Some may be much messier than others, but show compassion to everyone! Make sure you also budget for all the equipment and products you’ll need to do a great job.

Depending on how much detailing is done, most car detailers make between $150-$800/car.

Lyft

If you have time in the early mornings, late evenings, or on the weekends, consider becoming a Lyft driver. Meet interesting people while driving them to their desired destinations and make good money! But Lyft won’t pay for your gas, and this will add a lot of miles to your car, so make sure you budget for gas.

I will advise that this may not be the safest side hustle, but it can pay well. Work at your own risk, trust your gut, and be observant!

Graphic Design

If you have a knack for graphic design, consider selling your designs or working with clients so you can make money weekly. Create logos, social media content, flyers, stickers, and anything else you want to create for your client! Work with who you want and when you want as a graphic designer.

You can get clients as a graphic designer by connecting with people on LinkedIn, Facebook groups or applying for listings on Upwork and Fiverr. However, Upwork and Fiverr have fees, so if you want to keep all your money, you’ll have to do the marketing yourself.

Selling Digital Products

If you love creating art, templates, or even Excel sheets, selling digital products is a great side hustle that pays weekly that you should consider doing. You can create stickers, wall art, Excel budgeting templates, and digital planners, all while making money passively.

You can sell these digital products on Etsy or Shopify, but be aware that these platforms have fees or paid memberships. Selling digital products is a great side hustle because you don’t have to spend time or money shipping your products, so that you can make money in your sleep!

Instacart

If you have a car and extra time throughout the day or on the weekend, consider becoming an Instacart driver! Being an Instacart driver is perfect if you’re an introvert or simply enjoy driving around. You can make anywhere from $12-$20/hour while listening to music and limiting contact with those around you.

Working with Instacart is a great side hustle that pays weekly. Still, it’s best for those who live in significantly populated areas so you can deliver as much as possible within a short period. If you don’t live in a very populated area, a different side hustle may be better for you.

Event Planner

Are you well-organized, love creating itineraries, and are great with communication? Consider becoming an event planner! You’ll create and manage events that others don’t have the time or energy to do themselves. This can be birthday parties, weddings (though a wedding planner side hustle is discussed below), or corporate events.

You can join an agency, though they will most likely take some of your earnings. Or you can find clients yourself. Join local Facebook groups and engage there! If you like planning a particular event, join those Facebook groups and groups where your ideal client would be.

Child & Animal Care

If you love caring for children and animals, consider becoming a pet sitter or a babysitter! Child and animal care is a great side hustle that pays weekly, allows you to get your steps in, and create memories that children will cherish forever. Rover and Care.com are great platforms to get started.

I was a nanny for several years, and I do recommend that your client has some sort of “nanny cam” for several reasons. The main one is that children randomly lie. If they don’t like you, for whatever reason, and think of a creative lie about you, their parent can look through the nanny cam and side with you.

Most parents are very nervous when they leave their children with a stranger, so ensuring that a nanny cam is set up will ease their nerves and limit the micromanaging that can sometimes happen as a nanny.

Language Translator

If you know more than one language, consider becoming a translator for those needing one for a special event. You can also be a proofreader, transcription writer, and subtitle writer. Most language translators also make anywhere from $20-$60/hour! It just depends on the specific job, the language, and the client.

Social Media Manager

Social media managing is a great side hustle that pays weekly. Depending on your number of clients, you could even get paid daily! It depends on your client load and how often your clients pay on time.

As a social media manager, you will help your clients create and execute:

  • Posts
  • Videos
  • Reels
  • Videos
  • Captions
  • Stories
  • TikTok videos
  • Tweets
  • Hashtag research
  • Keyword research
  • Schedule monthly content
  • Engage with comments and DM’s
  • And engage with your client’s ideal audience

As a social media manager, I charge $1,199/month to manage two platforms. But depending on your experience and background, you may charge more or less. Even if you are a social media manager with no experience, you can still make great money!

Wedding Planner

If you love weddings, watching ideas come to fruition, planning, and making connections with people, consider becoming a wedding planner! Make people’s dreams come true on the biggest day of their lives by coordinating what they want for their wedding. Be the liaison between vendors and the bride and groom.

However, be aware that weddings are exciting days for people but can also be highly stressful. And if something doesn’t go right, you may be in the line of fire. So if you aren’t cool under pressure and struggle with patience, a different side hustle may be better suited for you.

On average, wedding planners make $1,000-$2,000/wedding. But it depends on everything the couple needs, the area the couple wants to be married, and how far in advance they’ve booked. But because you’re a freelancer, you can work with as many couples that fit your schedule as possible. And once they pay, it’s all yours!

Photographer

As a photographer, you can choose who you work with and what you offer! You can do newborn shoots, weddings, senior portraits, family sessions, professional photos, or a mix of them all. Pay for the equipment you can afford, and charge a rate that you feel fits based on your experience, equipment, and time photographing and editing the photos.

If you’re just starting, try offering your services for free or significantly discounted as you practice. Once you feel comfortable and confident in your work and posing your clients, charge as you think fit. The more experience you continue to have, the more you should raise your rates to mirror your experience.

As a freelancer, you can set your own rules, so if you prefer being paid in full before the shoot or half before and half after, it’s up to you. But as soon as your client pays you, either online or in cash, it’s yours!

Side Hustles That Pay Weekly – Conclusion

Many side hustles pay weekly. But it’s important to know that these are not a “get-quick-rich” scheme! These side hustles take time and work to make a real income, and you get what you put into it. But it is possible to make at least $5k/month if you dedicate yourself!
