Yep! Affiliate marketing is actually one of the main ways bloggers make money. Including me! Once you create a link and put it in your content, you won’t have to worry about it for years while you make money in your sleep!
Decide what you want to write about first. Then, choose products, courses, and companies that fit your niche. Then, you can get your custom like and share it with your audience.
Unfortunately, it can take years to earn a consistent income with this affiliate marketing job. So, if you want to become a blogger, make sure you have another source of income while you work on it.
Vlogger
I’ll admit, I LOVED watching vloggers when I was younger! It was so fun to live life through them. I even considered it while I was testing side hustles. But I felt like I didn’t have any privacy. So, set boundaries if you want to become a vlogger.
You can add links and sponsorships throughout your video and description for your viewers to buy. You’ll get a commission whenever they purchase, whether that’s the day you upload your video or five years down the road.
Vlogging does take a lot of video editing, SEO, and graphic design skills for YouTube. If you’re okay with learning these skills, you can live your life how you want while making money from your affiliate marketing job!
Social Media Influencer
Social media influencing is similar to vlogging, as you can live your life the way you want and just record it along the way. Choose the platform you love the most, whether that’s Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, or even Facebook.
Use your affiliate links in your bio, posts, stories, and throughout your content. Then, when people look through your links and content, you can make money with every purchase!
As a social media manager, I recommend using Instagram or TikTok for your affiliate marketing jobs. The algorithm for those platforms favors showing products rather than Facebook or Pinterest.

If vlogging is too much, but you don’t want to worry about all the extra content you have to produce for platforms like Instagram and Facebook, consider becoming a YouTuber.
You can create educational, lifestyle, or entertaining content (without vlogging) on your time. Then, add affiliate links throughout your content and descriptions to make money on YouTube.
Many course creators and bloggers also use YouTube as another platform to make money!

Creating a newsletter is one of the best affiliate marketing jobs you can try. Send emails to your audience several times a week or month with your affiliate links. Cater your emails to subscribers who have specific wants and interests.
Using email marketing for this affiliate marketing method is ideal because you can create different lead magnets, drawing in various subscribers and giving your links a higher conversion rate.

Making a course is another popular way to make some passive income. Create a detailed and information-filled course for your audience. Not only can you make money selling your system, but if you include affiliate links, you can make almost double with each sale.
I have taken several courses with affiliate links and loved them! Most of the time, I got a discount, and the course included an intro to the product I was buying.
